This week, Nieuport Aviation took part in the third biennial edition of TORONTO OF THE FUTURE® showcase at Toronto Metro Hall. The event attracted tens of thousands looking to develop a greater passion about the urban and economic development of Toronto. On display was Nieuport’s upgraded passenger terminal at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, which we recently completed to truly enhance the passenger experience. This project was one of the many urban infrastructure and transportation projects on display helping to shape the future of Toronto.
Nieuport Aviation, owner and operator of the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport passenger terminal, completed a $50 million upgrade in 2018. In addition to adding a new gate, the project included expanding the domestic and international lounges, investing in a modern décor and adding more comfortable seating.
Now available in the lounges are restaurants and retail stores that offer more choice and selection to the 2.8 million passengers travelling through every year. The new choices are reflective of the City of Toronto and local region.
The new seating options offer comfort to all types of passengers, including those travelling in groups or alone. Passengers connect to WiFi in the lounges and charging stations were built in to accommodate technology needs.
The business section allows for privacy and comfort. Modern noise barriers were built into the décor. Passengers can enjoy a stunning view of Toronto before flying.
