Accessibility at the passenger terminal at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport

May 30, 2024

Nieuport Aviation is committed to identifying, addressing, and preventing barriers at the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport passenger terminal. In support of this commitment, we have developed our 3-year Accessibility Plan.

Feedback process

If you have any feedback about the accessibility of our terminal or our Accessibility Plan, you can provide it to our Accessibility Coordinator through any of the following channels:

Email:  accessible@nieuport.com

Phone: 647-826-6933

Mail: 1 Island Airport, P.O. Box 2-7, Toronto, ON, M5V 1A1

We appreciate your feedback and will respond to all feedback received, except for anonymous submissions. We will respond to you using the same method you used to contact us.

Our goal is to respond within five (5) business days for email and phone feedback, and within five (5) business days plus delivery time for mail feedback. However, please note that more complex inquiries may require additional time. If this is the case, we will still acknowledge your feedback and provide you with an update on our response time.

If you wish to submit anonymous feedback, you can do so by mail or email. To ensure anonymity, please do not include your name or any identifying information when submitting your feedback. If using mail, do not include a return address on the envelope.

All accessibility feedback and our responses are documented in a database. Rest assured that any personal information will be anonymized, unless you specifically request a response. We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Our Accessibility Coordinator analyzes all the feedback received to identify trends and patterns, eliminate barriers, and improve accessibility across the terminal. Feedback also helps us with accessibility progress reporting and enhances our future consultation processes. To comply with the Accessible Canada Regulations, we retain all feedback and responses, including any personal information provided, for a period of seven (7) years.

Alternate formats

If you require an alternate format of our Accessibility Plan, our accessibility feedback process, or annual progress reports (to be published beginning June 1, 2025), you may request it through the feedback channels provided above. The alternate formats available are as follows:

• Print

• Large print (larger and clearer font)

• Braille (a system of raised dots that persons who are blind or visually impaired can feel with their fingertips)

• Audio (a recording of someone reading the text out loud)

• Electronic formats that are compatible with adaptive technology
