Shuttle

Complimentary shuttle buses are located on the mainland in front of the Main Terminal/Passenger Tunnel Access Building and downtown on the west side of Fairmont Royal York hotel (across from Union Station). The shuttle bus is available everyday, including weekends and holidays. The duration of the trip is approximately 15 minutes (depending on traffic), and the tracker can be found below. The shuttles are equipped with free on-board Wi-Fi.

In keeping with our commitment to accessibility, all shuttle bus drivers have completed accessibility training, with certification renewed annually. Moreover, all buses are equipped with a wheelchair ramp and kneeling system, with a designated area featuring secure harnesses for wheelchair users. Trip Duration: About 15 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions.

Departure Frequency: Shuttles run approximately every 15 minutes on a continuous "bump-and-go" schedule.

11:00 PM – 12:15 AM

Saturday:

5:00 AM – 6:45 AM

8:45 PM – 10:30 PM

Sunday:

Downtown Drop-Off Location: On York Street, at the west side of the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, directly across from Union Station.

Ferry

The ferry schedule runs from 05:15AM- 12:07AM daily, with ferry crossings every 15 minutes. The ferry is free for pedestrians and costs $15 for vehicles (round trip). For more information about the Passenger Ferry please visit the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport website.

Pedestrian Tunnel

Billy Bishop Airport features a pedestrian tunnel that connects Toronto’s mainland to the island. It takes approximately 6-10 minutes to walk across with options of moving walkways and stairs, escalators or elevators to the Arrivals/Departures level.

YTZ is situated on Toronto Island, in the heart of the city. It is easily accessible from the downtown core using a shuttle bus located near Union Station. Curb-side passenger drop-off and pick-up is available, and complimentary 5-minute parking spots are available in the turning-circle. To get to the island side of the airport, a short 3-minute ferry ride is required (additional fees for vehicles apply). Passengers may also opt to walk through the pedestrian tunnel as an alternative to the ferry.
