Over the past year, Nieuport has continued to strengthen its commitment to uplifting underrepresented communities through meaningful partnerships and initiatives. This work includes supporting local businesses through their Love Local partnership with the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Units (TABIA); supporting organizations such as Indspire in their work to uplift the next generation of aviation professionals, and by participation in programs such as the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program, helping passengers with non-visible disabilities navigate the airport with care.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core pillars that underpin a wide range of activities at Nieuport. Through initiatives such as community partnerships, supplier diversity efforts, and workforce engagement programs, the company remains focused on creating equitable opportunities while fostering a culture of belonging.
“At Nieuport, we believe that building a more inclusive aviation industry requires intentional action and strong partnerships,” said Jennifer Quinn, CEO of Nieuport Aviation. “This recognition reflects the dedication of our team and our partners to creating an environment where diverse voices are uplifted, and where our passengers feel welcomed and included.”
"Creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable travel experience depends on collaboration across a diverse network of workers, businesses, and community partners," said ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke. "Nieuport Aviation and this year's other honorees show how inclusive business practices, workforce development, and meaningful outreach can deliver lasting benefits for travelers, employees, and the broader airport community. ACI-NA congratulates them for advancing programs that strengthen our industry and expand opportunity."
The ACI-NA Inclusion Champions Award recognizes airport and aviation partners that demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting inclusion, advancing equitable opportunities, and driving positive change within their organizations and the broader industry.
