Nieuport Aviation releases 2024 Impact Report, marking a decade of investing for a brighter future at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport

TORONTO, ON — Nieuport Aviation, the terminal partner at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ), today launched its 2024 Impact Report. From driving the economy and delivering a world-class passenger experience to prioritizing people and supporting the community, the report provides a comprehensive look at how the company is investing in Toronto and beyond to help create a bright future for the city, the province and the country.

“While this report, released as Nieuport celebrates its 10th anniversary at the airport, highlights the many ways in which we are delivering meaningful impacts alongside PortsToronto and our many other partners, it’s just the beginning,” said Jennifer Quinn, Chief Executive Officer of Nieuport Aviation. “Reflecting on our current context, it’s more important than ever that these investments continue, ensuring the airport remains a vibrant, sustainable and inclusive contributor to the region and our country’s future.”

Highlights from the 2024 report include:

  • Nieuport supported 32 community organizations and initiatives last year, delivering a wide range of benefits, including facilitating access to Toronto’s world-class medical care, creating a brighter future for those in need and bringing residents together for community-building activities.
  • 205 metric tonnes of waste were diverted from landfill in 2024 in collaboration with our airline, food and beverage, and retail partners.
  • In cooperation with the City of Toronto and Arthaus, 35 live performances by local musicians took place in the passenger terminal as part of the Music on the Fly program.
  • Six large-scale art exhibits by local artists were hosted in the passenger terminal for visitors and residents alike.
  • YTZ’s overall operations generated $2.1 billion in annual economic impact and supported over 4,450 jobs economy-wide.
  • Passenger polling reflected a 98% positive passenger satisfaction rating.
